“Worthless roadways” make over £26,000 at auction

Four ” roadway” parcels of land that had been left to a Vendor from his prolific house building father have been sold at our London auction making a profit of just under £27,000 from the scraps of land which consisted of highways, paths and verges

The Vendor, who had owned the land for many years, had inherited the plots from his Father who sold the individual houses but retained the scraps of land. Thinking such small bits of land we “worthless” the vendor ” bottom drawed” them. However Toby Limbrick, Network Auctions Auctioneer, convinced him there was a buyer.

The plots, located in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, ranged in size from 0.22 acres to 0.34 acres with the larger plot sell for a whopping £26,000. All lots were sold under the hammer at The Grosvenor House Hotel on 19th April 2018

Toby Limbrick, network Auctions Director, said ” Every scrap of land has a value, potential is everywhere- you just need to be creative about it”

Network Auctions next sale is on 12th July and we are already accepting instructions.
