Guide to auction property tours

So, a property in our auction catalogue has caught your eye. You’ve seen the photos, checked out the floor plans, read the legal pack, but want a viewing in person before you commit to placing your bid. Just what does that entail? The process is actually very simple! This guide will take you through exactly what you need to know before viewing a property being sold at auction.

Auction property tours function a little different from ones held through traditional estate agents due to the faster progression time, the narrow window between auctions, and the fact every auction has properties from all over the UK. Viewings are conducted in block sessions with multiple participants that usually last for 30 minutes, though on larger properties, more time may be offered. There are at least three of these viewings in the lead up to auction day to ensure there is a time that works for everyone. This structure means we can fit in as many interested parties as possible while providing bidders with a good idea of how many fellow potential buyers might be interested. We provide separate access to surveyors and valuers to view the property outside of these time slots with less time restriction, so they can properly access the property to your satisfaction.

Due to the properties in our catalogues being located across the country, we ask our partnered local estate agents to conduct viewings. With their knowledge of the local area, experience, and expertise, they can provide additional information and answer any of your questions that we haven’t already covered prior to your visit. If an agent isn’t available, we employ a reputable national viewing support service that will conduct the viewing.

If you are unable to attend a viewing in person, we provide thorough walk-through video tours of the property’s exteriors and interiors, as well as photos and floor plans on the property’s listing on our website. This is a very popular feature, and in many cases, bidders have purchased a property without an in person inspection.

So, the first thing to do is to get in touch with us, and we can discuss what date and time works best for you. Your next property journey is just a viewing away!
